General Electric Trainee in Product Support in Prague, Czech Republic

Job Description Summary

The trainee for Product Support will be fully integrated to the C&PSO team based in GEAC Prague.

The tasks he/she will be assigned are answering real daily business needs of the C&PSO team. Therefore, his/her performance will have a direct impact on the quality and speed of the services we deliver to our end-customers.

To fulfill his tasks, he/she will have to interact with a large number of internal colleagues, mainly from Production teams, Logistics team and Sales team based in Prague.

Job Description

Tasks and responsibilities

The C&PSO trainee will assist by:

  • Supporting and later leading the Engine commission disassemble, followed by preparation of Teardown report for customer

  • Together with Customer Service Management Specialist define repair workscope

  • Tracking defined workscope and turnaround time of the engine repair

  • Working with GEAC teams to understand the damages on the engines coming for repair

  • Occasional data collection and statistical analysis

  • Occasionally draft official letters sent to customers explaining technical aspects of their engine repair action


  • Candidate should be able to understand how aviation engines work

  • Active interest in Aviation – A/C modeler, hobby pilot, etc.

  • Able to propose solutions when facing issues

  • Process oriented

  • Able to establish good relationships with various types of personalities

  • Candidate should be University student (Mechanical engineering, Transportation or similar)

  • Czech language is ideal

  • Excellent English (orally and written)

  • Russian, Portuguese or Spanish is an advantage

  • Good Knowledge of Powerpoint and Excel
