Job Description Summary

Responsible for developing and executing plan to meet customer and company objectives for turboprop engine derivative including (but not limited to) budget forecasting, tollgate execution, engine certification testing, and supporting customer flight test campaigns. Engage and drive accountability with global network to ensure timely execution of key milestones and customer deliverables leading up to derivative engine certification. Provide regular status reporting of key program metrics to program leadership and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead engine derivative NPI program including the following:

  • Program management and execution; requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing programs, finance, assembly and test organizations to meet key program deliverables

  • Develop overall program schedule and key milestones/deliverables

  • Tollgate preparation and management

  • Product cost management

  • Developing product strategy to meet business objectives

  • Supplier management

  • Program budget management

  • Ensures program compliance with applicable regulations

  • Develop service strategy

  • Program Status Reporting – Conducts regular leadership reviews and customer reviews

  • Identifies program risks and develops early action plan for resolution

  • PCB representative for derivative engine program

  • Applies Lean principles for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related technical field

  • Substantial industry experience

  • New product development experience

  • Experience working within the complexity of a global matrix and interacting with cross-functional teams

  • Influence at senior level

  • Must be comfortable traveling domestically and internationally up to 25%

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Fluent English

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related technical field

  • Experience working with ODA and regulatory agencies

  • Engine certification experience

  • Engine development background

  • Direct customer experience, negotiations, influence, and problem solving

  • Business and commercial acumen, with proven track of record in managing product cost

  • Technical/engineering acumen

  • Team leadership and talent development

  • Analytical problem solving
