Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace Power Conversion and Control business is leading the way in the application of advanced technologies towards the development and delivery of high-performance power conversion products for Aerospace, military ground vehicles, and industrial hybrid vehicle applications utilizing advanced technologies such as SiC and GaN.
The Electronic Packaging Engineer performs a variety of tasks in power module development as part of the GE Aerospace Power Conversion & Control business segment. In this high-impact and dynamic role, you will contribute to the SiC/GaN power modules design and development. You will lead SiC/GaN power module testing, support module prototyping/assembly; and assist power module qualification. You will work with other senior engineers, on power modules troubleshoot, test/process documentation, and module modelling.

Roles and Responsibilities
Perform duties within a cleanroom environment, requiring use of specific cleanroom (Class 10,000) attire, such as full cleanroom gowns, hair nets and surgical face masks
Lead semiconductor power device testing and evaluation activities
Operate various processing equipment in a cleanroom environment
Take measurements using acoustic microscopy, curve tracer, Power module analyzer, oscilloscope, and other complex test tools
Support Power Module design with simulation and modeling
Document and communicate results of technical data generated
Perform failure analysis on the defective components or products
Communicates detailed work status to Management
Supports Lean initiatives and provides continuous improvement feedback related to SiC module development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited university
Desired Characteristics
2+ year of electronics packaging experience
Knowledge of Advanced Electronic Test and Troubleshooting techniques to component level
Experience with package modeling using Ansys Q3D, PLECS, LTSPICE, and MATLAB
Strong oral and written communication skills.
