Role Summary:

Mining Electronics Engineer

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement & validate control electronics strategies for Off-Highway Vehicle Electric Drive Systems.

  • Define the overall system requirements for integration of digital technologies into Off-Highway Vehicle Electric Drive Systems and recommend design approaches to meet / exceed customer expectations.

  • Execute creation of necessary system documentation to flow down requirements to detailed design teams.

  • Support component team in detail design and validation planning/execution

  • Support detail design process for evaluation of ability to integrate digital developments.

  • Coordinate digital app validation & integration.

  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, for durations of 2 to 3 weeks


  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other Engineering Discipline

  • At least 5 additional years of experience in an Engineering position

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum of 3 year of experience with control electronics & develop.

  • Experience in prognostics

  • Experience with multi-location teams involved in design and validation activities

  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • PC proficiency

  • Edison Engineering Development Program Graduate
