Role Summary:

The GE Transportation Digital Operations team is seeking an experienced Software Support professional to provide Technical Support for the PLM application.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing incidents, problems and service requests for the PLM application

  • Monitor the Incidents and manage workload in their respective queues to ensure that Service Level Agreement are met

  • Outage handling within the PLM applications including tasks such as: communications, facilitating call/webex, pulling in required resources/skillsets to restore service

  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions to our users’ needs

  • Work with team members to troubleshoot application alerts from monitoring tools and follow SOPs to resolve or escalate appropriately

  • Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our users’ technical support experience with minimal guidance

  • Create Knowledge Articles or automation for repeatable procedures with a goal of reducing the number of Incidents

  • Work on critical, highly complex user problems that may span multiple services

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S in a technical field, such as Computer Science or Information Systems with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the technology space with emphasis on the PLM application OR M.S in a technical field, such as Computer Science or Information Systems with a minimum of 1 year experience in the technology space with emphasis on the PLM applicationEligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Erie, PA Desired Characteristics:

  • A technical engineer, with extensive experience in solving challenging issues in high pressure environment

  • Excellent communicator, works well in a team environment, and welcomes challenges

  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics

  • ITIL certifiedTechnical Expertise:

  • Development experience within the PLM application

  • Strong working experience with DatabaseBusiness Acumen:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills

  • Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practices
