Role Summary:

Provide HR guidance to people leaders and employees of the Pensacola Renewable Energy Plant, offering insights to ensure the best employee experience possible. In addition to providing coaching to leaders, you will be responsible for keeping a pulse on the organization environment and morale, supporting the leaders in assessing and developing the local talent pool. You will also responsible for ensuring effective, consistent, high-quality HR processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure understanding and application of GE Policies and Procedures for all HR processes

  • Develop and execute the local employee relations strategy partnering with Union Avoidance and Union Relations experts

  • Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated & resolved to drive and promote a work environment that is in compliance with the Spirit and the Letter

  • Create and maintain a positive, collaborative and open team environment

  • Act as an advocate to employees to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment

  • Deliver change management projects such as restructuring, changes to terms & conditions/benefits, and other large-scale employee-facing projects as needed

  • Partner with local leadership and HR COEs in recruiting, performance management, onboarding and career development of our staff while leading new hire and job candidate experience across the facility

  • Coach, counsel and provide candid constructive feedback to people leaders

  • Serve as a point of contact on fundamental HR topics, questions and issues for all employees and managers

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners in special projects and initiatives to support development of HR Initiatives

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, HR Managers and Organization and Talent Development professionals to execute business-specific HR strategies

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant work experience)

  • Minimum 5 years prior professional work experience

  • In-depth understanding of HR concepts and principles gained through formal education and substantial work experience

  • Prior experience in Manufacturing environments

  • Prior experience in Union Relations/Employee Relations

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields

  • GE HRLP Graduate or graduate of a similar program

  • PHR/SPHR certification
