Job Description Summary

A core HR manufacturing leadership position in a non-union facility responsible for providing dynamic leadership and consistent support of a growing factory team. In this position, successful candidate will provide HR support to a team of approx. 40 salaried personnel and approx. 300 assembly technicians in the successful execution of all people objectives at site. Successful candidate will demonstrate passion, enthusiasm, and high levels of engagement in a swift-paced manufacturing environment. Transparent communication, prioritizing employee follow-up, employee advocacy, and the ability to achieve results without sacrificing respect will all be key. Strong ethicality and ability to deal with confidential concerns/information are a must.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

The ERM role will be a combination of strategic and tactical support for manufacturing site and team:

  • ERM will play a major role leading site employee engagement and recognition initiatives, facilitating employee councils and roundtables as well as taking charge with factory Inclusion and Diversity efforts.

  • ERM will be the primary HR support for the 3rd shift production team and will maintain a daily work schedule that reinforces this support.

  • ERM will provide functional support to the growth of the Pensacola plant’s Technical Career Path (TCP) Program and assembly/maintenance apprenticeship programs.

  • ERM will provide daily shop floor presence and engagement, regularly attending toolbox talks and cell-level discussions.

  • ERM will support the development and execution of innovative, strategic communication plans in coordination with frontline leaders, employee councils, and leadership staff in an effort to increase transparency and reach throughout the factory.

  • ERM will be responsible for frontline leader development and partnership, ensuring sitewide policy consistency and providing professional mentorship and development.

  • ERM will serve as initial point of contact for site investigations and dispute resolution, partnering as required with Company’s Legal and Compliance resources.

  • ERM will serve as initial point of contact for any reviews tied to performance deficiencies, performance management and/or behavioral concerns for site-based operators.

  • ERM will oversee the tracking of site hourly performance evaluations, partnering as needed with frontline leadership and site Cell Leaders.

  • ERM will be a strong ambassador for the HR team and will lead in factory management and press box reviews, reporting to leadership on progress against site HR metrics.

  • ERM will interface with site engineers, materials planners, and other individual contributors to the team to ensure engagement and support with professional development.

  • ERM will partner with site Cell Leaders and Finance Manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels, while meeting cost and efficiency metrics.

  • ERM will partner with site HR Coordinator and Operations Leaders to support any and all Kronos/timekeeping priorities and needs.

  • ERM will ensure the HR team is focused on continuous improvement projects that further enhance site employee engagement opportunities.

  • ERM will foster and grow a site culture of mentorship and coaching that enables career-advancement opportunities for both hourly and salaried team members.

  • ERM will support site leadership with succession planning efforts for key and foundational roles.

  • ERM will take direction from, and report directly to, site’s Sr. Employee Resource Manager and execute on other duties, as needed, in support of site and team.


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required

  • Minimum of 4 years of previous HR experience required, preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain setting and with progressive leadership experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to provide 3rd-shift coverage support and maintain a regular daily work start time of 5:30AM

  • Strong coaching, communication, mentorship, and conflict resolution skills required

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required, with emphasis on ability to quickly and effectively understand and resolve complex issues

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all layers of the organization, frontline to executive

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to be a change agent and to role model the Company’s leadership behaviors

  • High level of employee advocacy and trust-building

  • Proven HR leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing or supply chain environment

  • Ability to follow a shared strategic vision and partner effectively with stakeholders to ensure team success

  • Ability to proactively anticipate business partner needs and ensure they are fulfilled
