Job Description Summary

The Lead Production Quality Specialist will conduct product quality reviews associated with manufacturing processes and will impact departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policies and strategies

  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area

  • Use judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance

  • Use prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks

  • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of Quality experience) + a minimum of 3 years of Quality experience

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerance experience

  • AS9100 knowledge and experience

  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
