Role Summary:

The Inspection Technologies Technical Support Team is a global team and is the single point of entry for all post-sales technical issues for NDT products installed around the world. These products range from Radiography, Ultrasonic Testing Machine, Remote Visual Inspection, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic Standard Flow, Film and Rhythm Archive Software.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Customer Technical Support Specialist is the first contact for our global customers on questions and issues related to all GEIT products. Daily priorities will be set by the GEIT Global Technical Support Leader. In this role, you will follow defined tools, processes / guidelines and escalation paths, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and have the ability to resolve issues / queries through immediate action or short-term planning.

In the role of Customer Support Specialist you will:

Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of a wide variety of issues / queries

  • Follow up the issues / queries with the different departments until final resolution / answer and customer satisfaction

  • Work very closely and globally with the Technical Support team, Service and all other involved / required teams to ensure best and timely manner resolution and/or follow / coordinate established escalation paths to support appropriately

  • Acquire basic to advanced knowledge of all GEIT product lines and their particularities

  • Drive, execute and follow-up telesales activities and initiatives

  • Build strong relationship with the different internal teams and the customers

  • Pro-actively and reactive communication to customers on progress, next steps, changes, requirements

  • Ensure proper and clear documentation of all communications from and to customers also all relevant details for the customers and their issues / queries

  • Effectively handle queries from the global customers and be knowledgeable of and sensitive to business, social and cultural issues significant to the customers

  • Monitor and report metrics and progress

  • Proactively communicate to leadership where additional support is needed to obtain faster and better resolutions for customers Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math from an accredited college or university Desired Characteristics:

  • Strongly desired fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Technical Support role

  • Experience analyzing technical issues

  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers

  • Experience making quick decisions in order to adapt to any situation

  • Fast learner with energy and enthusiasm for customer support

  • Quality awareness and experience identifying future failures, defects, and problems

  • Structured work methods and analytical skills

  • Experience managing multiple tasks in parallel

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team oriented

  • Experience following standard processes

  • Experience adapting quickly to change and working successfully in an evolving and culturally diverse environment
