Job Description Summary

GE Gas Power is seeking a world class HR Partner who will be an integral part of a contemporary global Manufacturing HR team. The successful candidate will drive HR strategy for a cross functional manufacturing operations business with two locations in Parsippany, NJ and Allentown, PA. As GE undergoes the largest worldwide Lean Transformation, this HR leader partners with operating leaders to drive a Lean culture transformation as well as utilize Lean to drive process improvements in HR. He/She will be build a strong talent pipeline with diverse team members. He/She will be a partner at the table with operations and be trusted advisor for an executive site leader.

This Human Resources Partner is responsible for developing and executing the human resources strategy across the METEM Operations in Parsippany and Allentown. In this role, the chosen candidate will support strategy, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, and be an advocate for both professional and production employees. This role will ensure we have the right talent, capabilities, and cultural mindset to deliver for our customers AND make the METEM business a winning, inclusive, and safe place to work for all our employees.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership for the METEM Operations in Parsippany and Allentown

  • Align with a global HR team to deliver HR strategies in support of a diverse workforce

  • Ensure the culture and strategy of the METEM Operations aligns with and contributes to the business-wide priorities, the Gas Power Purpose, and the GE Leadership Behaviors

  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop a strategic workforce plan, building key skills and a pipeline for critical talent across the METEM Operations

  • Champion Lean methodologies to build organizational capabilities and maximize performance across the business and HR function

  • Align with and deploy a robust talent management strategy, relying on data and analytics to fulfill the organizations’ business strategies

  • Advise, coach, counsel, and provide candid feedback to Executive Site Leader and his staff

  • Drive an HR strategy that delivers business results while promoting employee advocacy

  • Facilitate communications throughout the organization and act as an employee advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment

  • Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved to drive and promote a work environment that is in compliance with the Spirit and the Letter

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • 5-10 years of experience in operational Human Resource roles

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations or Business Administration

  • Demonstrated influencing and relationship building skills at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated experience developing & executing broad organizational strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively link HR strategy to business strategy

  • Prior experience in Manufacturing or Operational environments

  • Ability to energize and lead in complex, matrix, goal-driven organizations

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding, high performance work environment and create a positive, team-oriented culture

  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Workforce analysis capabilities using dashboards, bowlers and data analytics to achieve business outcomes.
