General Electric Business Process Analyst in Overland Park, Kansas

Job Description Summary

The person in this role will report to the A&H Operations leader and will manage critical, day-to-day activities and influence business goals and strategies. You’ll be responsible for managing communication with ceding companies, using your long-term care insurance knowledge to drive business decisions, and supporting the A&H Operations leader with special projects and initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Act as key contact point for certain ceding companies to manage inquiries and other communications.

  • Use insurance business knowledge to provide insight to modernize reporting and analytics in conjunction with IT and data science functions.

  • Be a champion of data quality working with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of data.

  • Understand and apply Lean and process improvement methodologies to daily work.

  • Analyze potential business transactions for feasibility and prepare recommendations to senior management.

  • Work with data science team on predicative analytics to better understand business trends and support inquiries by senior management.

  • Work with claims leader on various innovative programs and initiatives that can better our business and benefit our long-term care policyholders.

  • Develop and maintain value analysis tools for driving strategic and optimum operational decisions for the A&H Operations team.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients and partners.

  • Build and maintain an effective partnership with actuarial, finance and other internal teams to ensure collaboration and operational efficiency.

  • Manage audit and compliance inquiries from both internal and external sources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related study

  • Minimum 5 years experience in insurance industry, preferably in the long-term care field

  • Operations experience working with external clients and understanding contractual insurance language

  • Analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and develop data-driven innovative solutions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and prefer Power BI/Business Objects skills
