General Electric Associate - Data Operations in Overland Park, Kansas
Role Summary:Responsible for analyzing large data sets to identify issues and improve data integrity and accuracy; and test client company provided data validity. Must have solid experience using a variety of data tools, and data sources across current and historic data sets. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of partners and in ambiguous situations or projects.
Assess the accuracy of data sources.
Reconciliation of client supplied seriatim data to insure compliance with reinsurance financial reporting, contracts and policy terms as well as to improve data reliability and validity.
Identify root cause of any issues and drive appropriate corrective actions of data integrity with supplier and follow-up items for actuarial and financial reporting.
Provide data analysis and reporting on management information requests.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Accounting or business related fields with minimum 3 years work experience or Associates degree with minimum 5 years work experience with databases
Analytical and programming skills to analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to data challenges.
Experience with querying databases and analyzing and visualizing data using SQL, R, SAS, Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Strong eye for business and operational attitude.
Experience with Long-Term Care, Disability or other A&H insurance products, policy forms, and reinsurance contracts.
