Job Description Summary
The Sales Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. The Sales Manager will be the primary representative and will be directly responsible for opportunity development through order closure with assigned customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
As Sales Manager, you will:
Be responsible for obtaining orders and sales by driving and implementing sales strategy
Lead team to identify opportunities to drive volume growth in all segments of the business function
Keep GEH leadership team up to date on market and customer intelligence
Maintain meeting rhythm with executive leadership and GEH leadership with assigned customers
Work with customers to determine appropriate product/service solutions
Cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE
Contribute to defining and implementing marketing and commercial strategies to increase orders volume and profitability
Actively participate in Demand to Inquiry (DTI) and Inquiry to Order (ITO) processes, establishing a systematic business-scouting program with the purpose of identifying existing and new market opportunities
Leverage cross-functional and cross business resources in order to maximize market penetration·
Identify new market opportunities and cross-selling GE products
Maintain SalesForce with up to date information for current opportunities and pipeline activities
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
4 years of experience in a Field Services, Sales or Marketing position
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer facilities up to 50% of the time
At least 1 year of Nuclear services experience
Knowledge of GEH product line and services
Able to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
