General Electric Welding Inspector - 1st Shift in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Role Summary:

Monitor welding operations and ensure products and services are meeting the quality assurance program, customer requirements, engineering specifications and appropriate industry/regulatory standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Welding Inspector - 1st Shift, you will:

  • Verify PWHT reports, dimension reports per drawing, Engineering Bill Of Materials (BOM) and custom-er’s requirements and industry standards. Verify and create weld maps

  • Interface and co-ordinate with customer’s representative for material require Third Party Inspection (TPI) hold point inspection

  • Control and maintain all quality related documents

  • Set measuring instruments for in-process inspection, ensure all measuring equipment used in the shop are working to its specific requirement

  • Perform In process inspection in daily basis, such as: • Before, during and After welding inspection include generate report• Verification of welding parameter, Welder qualification & welding consumables• Visual Inspection & Dimensional Inspection• Assembly Inspection & Traceability record• Verify the Rework Process

  • Final inspection

  • Raise GRR or NCR for Non-conformance product

  • Involve in welder / Procedure Qualification

  • Participate in HSE program and proactively involve in improving HSE culture in site

  • Perform other quality related activities assigned by Production Quality Control Manager Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience and/ or quality experienceEligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the oilfield environment

  • Ability to perform dimensional inspection

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Prefer to have API 6A knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools

  • Require to work shifts and irregular hours.

  • Ability to read and apply established procedures.
