General Electric Warehouse Worker in Odessa, Texas

Role Summary:

The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for the stocking functions to ensure conformance to specifications and continuous production consistent with established standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Warehouse Worker, you will:

  • Compare information on requisitions, invoices, stock transfers and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy

  • Enter data from source documents into SAP

  • Compile and maintain inventory of material received, stocked or issued

  • Store purchased or manufactured parts in stock room/warehouse and issue parts per appropriate documentation

  • Ensure material all movements are aligned with SAP transactions

  • Issue over-the-counter parts orders

  • Inspect, accept or reject material received from vendors and assist in loading and unloading trucks / pallets

  • Operate forklift or hoist to load equipment

  • Perform routine cycle counts and support physical inventories

  • Requisition materials to fill orders

  • Determine method of storage, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capabilities and space

  • Move material between departments and machines

  • Maintain inventory and stock records Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution (OR Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience in Oil & Gas, manufacturing and/or industrial environment, in lieu of education)

  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience in oil and gas industryEligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, asrequired

  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time Desired Characteristics:

  • Forklift experience - current certification

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Experience delivering parts
