Assembler 3 with Emphasis on Marking

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • 3 years of relevant manufacturing, assembly and/or programming experience

Eligibility Requirements :

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

  • Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation

  • Prior experience creating/modifying programs for Laser Marking Equipment or equivalent.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain required certifications and pass visual acuity exam

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures

  • Utilize Microsoft based computers to access and interact with multiple apps (Excel, Power Point, Word, Auto-Time, Workday etc…)

  • Blueprint interpretation, mechanical inspection and procedural knowledge assessment completed.

  • Demonstrated ability to edit and create programs in specialized/automated equipment.

  • Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements

  • Must be able to multi-task and work within deadlines.

  • Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.

  • Assist leading and support team initiatives.

  • Participate in Careful Selection process

  • Interaction with internal and / or external customers and support functions (i.e. Planners, Engineering, Suppliers, Auditors) outside of home department

  • Participate in and assist leading team initiatives

  • Cross-train as needed based on experience, and work with limited supervision

  • Other duties as assigned/needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Oracle ERP experience

  • Vocational / Trade School

  • Extensive programming experience with multiple platforms

  • Prior expertise in customer requirements

  • Aerospace Manufacturing experience

  • Aptitude for mechanical problem solving

  • Lean Manufacturing

  • Possess knowledge of Quality System requirements (i.e., AS9100)
