Job Description Summary

Key point person in developing cash flow forecasts and other assumptions for financial analysis and modeling of investments. Close collaboration among investments, actuarial, and risk teams to ensure alignment across functions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Key point person in developing, modeling, and recommending all inputs as needed for cash flow testing (CFT) and loss recognition testing (LRT) processes.

  • Responsible for investment income forecasting process.

  • Maintain close attention to developments across portfolio assets to allow for regular refresh of assumptions as needed

  • Responsible for investment KPI reporting and analysis

  • Perform variance analysis for quarterly investment results

  • Leverage insight regarding asset projections and assumptions to assist and enhance risk management capabilities

  • Develop expertise in internal and external financial tools and models, including Bondedge, Aladdin, eFront, and ECAP.

  • Participate in invest due diligence activities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • CFA or Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in financial modeling or other quantitative analysis for institutional asset manager, bank, or insurance company.

  • Experience managing a strategic business priority that requires working across multiple functions and senior management.

  • Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and to guide and develop solutions.

  • Ability to translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums, tailoring communications to effectively fit and influence the targeted audience; strong executive presence, presentation and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills; ability to assess processes and outcomes by establishing solid metrics of performance.
