General Electric Manufacturing Engineer in Noblesville, Indiana

Job Description Summary

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will perform duties associated with the manufacturing process, which will impact quality of own work and the work of others on the team. You will execute standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. This position is located on site in Noblesville, IN.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define and control the production process including tooling and equipment.

  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.

  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.

  • Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering OR an Associates Degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting of PC/server based systems, OR High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting.

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiar with structured problem solving and continuous improvement methods & tools.

  • 6-sigma DMAIC or DFSS certified.

  • Demonstrated experience owning production processes / growing capability in yield and quality.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and electronics trouble-shooting.
