GE Aerospace Learning Operations Leader - Aerospace Research in Niskayuna, New York

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced employee to join the Research Learning team. The Research Learning team elevates Researcher skills, networks, and capabilities through formal and experiential learning programs, including the Edison Research Rotational Program.

In this multifaceted role, you will play an important part in designing, delivering, and managing our organization's learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering professional growth, is resourceful, responsive and always organized.

The Learning Operations Leader is responsible for developing and implementing technical education programs aimed to measurably improve researcher capabilities and effectiveness.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to source and develop appropriate content; act as producer for overall successful delivery of live virtual and in-person education events.

  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate live and on-demand training supporting key learning initiatives, including technical leadership, Lean, and the Edison B-Course Launchpad program.

  • Create engaging and effective learning content, including e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, videos, job aids, and interactive resources.

  • Create and cultivate relationships with external vendors and GE subject matter experts to fulfill training needs; leverage synergies within GE Aerospace to effectively promote technical training and development.

  • Formulate and implement continuous improvement plans based on measured effectiveness of learning programs.

Additionally, as a member of the GE Aerospace Research Learning Team, you will be pulled into exciting technical learning projects that touch technologists across GE Aerospace Research.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Technology, Science, or other STEM field from accredited university.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Engineering/Technology or Technical Learning.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • Must be willing to work onsite in our Niskayuna, NY location.

Desired characteristics:

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience developing and delivering technical training; an energizing facilitator.

  • Experience with Lean culture and focus on continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with GE Aerospace Research disciplines and organization.

  • Experience or certifications in instructional design.

The base pay range for this position is 90,000 - 175,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on May 19, 2024
