Job Description Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner at GE Research provides HR support for client group leaders, managers and employees on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, providing HR process expertise and managing other general HR activities.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Partner with assigned client group to develop and execute HR strategies across client population to align structure, culture and talent with organization priorities.

  • Serve as the point of contact on fundamental HR topics, questions and issues for senior leaders and their direct teams.

  • Leverage data & analytics to drive progress, provide insights and support decision making; bring context to the data by obtaining VOC and going to the Genba.

  • Drive functional talent management and development strategies within client group; demonstrate ability to be an advisor through strategic thought leadership and problem solving.

  • Coach and counsel senior leaders and managers through organizational changes, challenges and opportunities.

  • Work closely with the global GE Research HR team to implement HR strategies and drive consistent HR practices.

  • Develop and implement learning plans for employees based on specific needs

  • Partner with other HR colleagues(s) on, engagement and culture activities

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to identify special projects and initiatives to support development of the function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • 8+ years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions, both client and specialist roles, with increasing levels of responsibility, scope and complexity

  • 5 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, leading teams

  • 15 years in an enabling function with transferrable experience

  • Strong team-based behaviors

  • Clear thinking with proven ability to work through complexity

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or Business Administration from an accredited college or university

  • Demonstrated ability to work in demanding/changing environments
