Job Description Summary
The Quality CMM Lab Technician may perform various Quality tasks including, but not limited to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) validations and operations on CVI/CMC parts, Calypso programming, visual inspections, vision system verification, measuring tool calibrations, data analysis, compilation and other material inspection.
Performs quality inspection tasks such as operating various precision measuring equipment including a CMM, compiling inspection data, record keeping, and report generation
Verify inspection data – attribute and variable to determine conformance and compliance to drawings and specifications.
Detecting and troubleshooting erroneous inspection data and anomalies.
Follow Newark and CMC value stream QMS and adheres to work applicable procedures.
Communicates non-conformance trends to engineering and Quality Lab Manager.
Assists teams and support organizations in implementing corrective actions.
Reading, planning, verifying fixture calibration.
Maintains quality training requirements and lab (5S).
Ensures all company paperwork and documentation is filled-out completely and accurately.
Understand safety and machining hazards.
Work with minimal coaching in a team environment.
Ability to operate and interpret CMM data.
Ability to create inspection programs within Zeiss Calypso
Five (5) plus years of experience required
Basic knowledge of laboratory practices and instrumentation.
five years of experience performing testing in a lab environment.
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a diverse teaming environment with minimal supervision.
Work overtime as needed to support the business.
Excellent customer service to co-workers and customers (internal and external).
ASQ Certified Quality Technician or Inspector. Understanding of AS9100 quality systems.
