General Electric Operation Management Specialist in Newark, Delaware

Role Summary:The Operation Management Specialist partners with the team to drive safety, quality, delivery and cost, and operational excellence. This role is accountable for functional, business, and company objectives.In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

Core responsibilities include:

  • Support and help business unit reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, cost

  • Ensure continuous business improvement and supporting improvements through A3 and Hoshin Kanri Policy deployment

  • Drive lean and support a lean culture

  • Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent

  • Work together with operations, technicians and engineering teams to ensure total business continuity

  • Ability to articulate both technical and operational challenges with solutions and plans to improve

  • Help partner with business leader and drive standard work into cadences

  • Present to internal teams on metrics, project status and research

  • Develop project or operational plans, and executes organizational strategies that accelerate growth, reduces cost and lead times, and improves supply base performance

  • Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and peers

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
