Role Summary:

This role provides advanced applications support for the optimization and development of Magnetic Resonance applications. The primary responsibility of this specialist is to help GE MR partner sites maximize the clinical quality, performance and efficiency, and standardize imaging protocols across a broad fleet of MR scanners. The successful candidate will have a direct, positive impact on the quality of daily clinical care across a broad network of imaging centers in the US.

Essential Responsibilities:

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  1. Lead image quality and workflow optimization projects, under the direction of GE partner sites, to maximize clinical performance and efficiency of GE MR scanners across their fleet.

  2. Be the MR quality agent for the GE partner sites, and support them with protocol roll out and standardization, technologist education, and image quality assurance initiatives.

  3. Facilitate GE partner sites with evaluation of WIP packages in partnership with GEHC MR scientists.

  4. Assisting with customer complaints, investigations, and product solutions.

  5. Working with global engineering on end to end solutions by providing clinical input from customers.

  6. Act as clinical “voice of the customer”, working with GE scientists, engineers and clinical specialists from concept phase to product life cycle to ensure that solutions meet the customer requirements.

  7. Applying knowledge of clinical MR needs to guide definition and development of new hardware, new imaging and post-processing techniques.

  8. Evaluating performance and quality of new features by designing & optimizing protocols, and traveling to partner sites for installation and testing.

  9. Supporting marketing activities, customer seminars and internal training events.


  1. Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or global equivalent

  2. Min. of 5 years’ experience in MR, including all clinical applications and performing procedures

  3. Excellent English language communication skills. Demonstrated experience interacting with stakeholders in various challenging situations

  4. Experience communicating scientific data (verbal and written)

  5. Ability to present complex material to diverse audiences

  6. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  7. Self-driven, creative, flexible and well-organized. Independent thinker and positive problem-solving attitude. Desire to positively impact patient care.

  8. Must be willing to work in New York City area, with frequent regional and bi-coastal travel to sites on the east and west coasts.

  9. Ability to travel 40-50% of the time

Desired Characteristics:

  1. Advanced degree (Bachelors or Masters)

  2. At least 10 yrs. experience in the medical industry

  3. Applications experience in various clinical areas

  4. Research experience, willingness to learn basic linux operations

  5. Workflow optimization experience and comfortable with data analytics tools

  6. X-ray, CT, or NM experience

  7. Previous GE Healthcare experience

  8. Familiarity with GE Healthcare MRI products, and clinical optimization

  9. Competitive experience
