Job Description Summary
GE is looking for a Marketing Communications Operations Leader to join the team and support the CMO. This professional will serve as the right hand “person” of the CMO, providing a wide range of strategic support, all focused on making time, information, and decision processes more effective.
Roles and Responsibilities
As Operations Leader, you will assist in the execution of key priorities in partnership with the Marketing Communications Leadership Team in your role as advisor, gatekeeper, and as an extension of the CMO’s vision, leadership and voice. You will ensure intra and cross-team alignment across communications and business units, drawing on your business acumen and experience to deliver results. You will be responsible for helping to drive marketing operations including business and communications strategies, planning, and processes to enable effective execution across initiatives. You will also manage and execute on functional and strategic projects across marketing disciplines and help develop and steward key processes and systems.
While your focus will be on Communications, you will also work across the CMO’s broader org including the Foundation and Learning/Training.

Oversee strategic initiatives from development through execution on behalf of the CMO & their SLT
Partner with the CMO on solving key issues that directly impact the success of the Company
Identify and take on ad hoc strategic projects
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of the CMO (across multiple disciplines including but not limited to expense management)
Attend and participate in Senior Leadership, Executive, and Marketing Leadership team meetings
Run and program all staff & functional meetings (including calendar management) to maximize effectiveness, including agenda, notes, actions, and reporting
Attend non-critical meetings on behalf of the CMO and report back synthesized key information
Foster alignment across the marketing communications global organization
Keep a pulse on all facets of the marketing/communications function and gather/prioritize information that is critical for the CMO to function optimally
Provide the CMO with real time feedback on organizational structure, processes and issues
Support all executive and marketing leadership reporting requirement
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Marketing Communications
3+ years in a consulting, business or executive management role
Previous communications/marketing/advertising leadership experience a plus but not a requirement
Organization savvy and the ability to navigate an expanding organization
Flexibility, Adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, chaotic environment
A self-starter with the ability to work independently, think around corners
Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
Exceptionally organized and detail oriented
Powerful communication skills with the ability to be a strong contributor with senior management
