GE Aerospace Muskegon Welder (3rd Shift) in Muskegon, Michigan

Job Description Summary

Join us at our Muskegon site to help support production operations related to the manufacture of high-quality turbine airfoil products.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and TIG weld aerospace castings and details.

  • Use fixtures, tools and gauges to produce aerospace parts meetings blueprint drawingtolerances.

  • Follow detailed work instructions.

  • Practice weld procedures per GE and Nadcap/AWS specifications.

  • Work in a team environment, participate in Action Workouts, and contribute to the LEANManufacturing workplace

  • Practice safe work habits and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

Requirements include:

  • Must have minimum of two years Gas Tungsten Arc welding experience (on the job or in the classroom).

  • Pass Gas Tungsten Arc Weld test on nickel base, cobalt base and stainless-steel alloys (groove and fillet welding per MIL-W-1595)

  • Must be able to complete qualification training on nickel and cobalt per AWS D17.1

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prefer 2 years of college or trade school background or professional industry equivalency
