Job Description Summary
In this role you will be leading the creation and evolution of a consistent Software (SW) architecture, including SW design and implementation of quality goals, over multiple teams and sub-projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for our successful transition towards a containerized and microservice architecture. Both on-prem and in the cloud.
Be accountable to align the current and future system architecture of a cloud offering with our business goals
Interact with internal and external stakeholders to map business requirements to domain requirements and design qualities
Take an active role in analysis and design activities and reviews.
Elaborate robust roadmaps and implementation plans on strong experience and based on architecture patterns together with a team of software architects
Create governance rules for enterprise architectures.
Support the development teams on all levels by finding the right architectural trade-offs and assist the teams in implementing the taken decisions.
Rally the organization around your ideas of state-of-the-art technology stacks by being an excellent communicator.
Ensure the maintainability and extensibility of SW architectures over many release cycles.
Advocate new and current technologies by researching technology trends, creating demonstrators and elaborating the benefits.
Participate actively in implementation/refactoring – if those activities are not on the critical path
Minimum a master’s degree in Computer Science or “STEM” majors with very advanced experience in architecting high performance client server systems in the role of a Software architect.
Very good hands-on know how of C++, Qt, (Java-)Script, TypeScript, Angular, and databases
Strong technical foundation and "enjoying of getting your hands dirty"
Depth of knowledge in SW architecture and the ability to translate business objectives into technology solutions in the medical domain
Experience in a wide array of architecture patterns including designing highly performant systems, client-server systems, APIs, data management and security
Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, and at least one cloud platform, especially AWS is desired
Used to work in an agile/LEAN setting and with various stakeholders
Cost engineering of complex solution configurations and architecture trade-offs
Working knowledge of communality- and variability analysis in SW design
Proven experience in brownfield engineering and sustainable SW design
Proven experience in stakeholder/customer interaction and problem analysis
Proven knowledge of cloud transformations as ISV.
Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates.
Understands how internal and/or external business model work and facilitating active customer engagement.
Can articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes.
Advocates the value of LEAN/Agile for creating outstanding results.
Knowledge of the medical device software industry and portfolio management is a plus.
Demonstrated working knowledge of navigating international organizations in a global concern.
Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, foresees obstacles, identifies proactively workarounds, by leveraging given resources and rally teammates.
Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners
Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Ability to influence and build consensus with other teams, leadership and other groups in a multinational company.
