Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE Company, is looking for a Customer Service Representative based in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Places and inputs purchase requisition orders for services required for repairs and maintenance of equipment from established vendors.

  • Responsible for updating and filing work orders in the database (SAP)

  • Revises and reschedules orders to meet production requirement.

  • Supplies drawings and work instructions to vendors for the repair and maintenance of equipment.

  • Responsible for expediting vendor production and scheduling to achieve production goals and conformance with delivery date commitments.

  • Assists in coordination of schedules with other departments for lead-time required to avoid costly delays and expedites daily requirements.

  • Maintains permanent records of equipment and scrapped tools.

  • Acts as liaison with other departments and vendors, as well as coordinating outside processing activities with operations.

  • Assist with additional operations functions and special projects as required.


  • High School Education

  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas, Construction or Industrial environment.

  • Excellent computer skills and strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and ever changing priorities.

  • Excellent communications and interaction skills along with the ability to work well with others as well as an individual.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Post-secondary education or training in business administration would be an asset.

  • Experience with SAP would be beneficial.

  • Flexible with the ability to work overtime and rotational “on-call” as required.
