General Electric Semi-Skilled Labourer in Montrose, United Kingdom

Role Summary:

The Semi-Skilled Labourer will be required to carry out various welding support processes to a

high degree of quality, working within a team to meet the production schedule of the plant.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • General Fabrication Shop Labourer with forklift duties, 3T,5/7T, 16T and Combi-lift desirable.

  • Reading and understanding drawings and BOM’s (Bill ofMaterial) for stamping and painting duties.

  • Function Testing of connectors (Training will be given ifrequired)

  • Grinding and general workshop duties.

  • Helping welders set up work.

  • Overhead crane duties.

  • Assembling parts for shipping along with appropriatepaperwork.

  • Inspection of Tubular Joints and WHD’s and prepare surveys.


  • Experience of welding processes advantageous.

  • Experience of flame cutting and general workshop duties.

  • FLT (Forklift Truck) certification from 3t up to 15t inclusive.

  • Rigging and lifting certification.

  • Manual Handling.
