General Electric Risk Management Analyst in Monterrey, Mexico

Role Summary:

Determine the commercial credit worthiness of GE customers and prospects, to drive smart sales solutions across the GE Industrial business. Gather data (demographic, industry, regional, and financial) and leverage risk models to perform credit analytics to; understand default risk, recommend commercial credit limits, and determine trade terms.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely credit risk analysis on prospects and existing commercial customers as prompted by queuing structures, portfolio monitoring, and management direction

  • Conduct regular portfolio monitoring to identify high credit risk exposure(s) to the GE business and develop a plan of action to mitigate and/or limit this risk

  • Compile and present deep dive customer analytics typically consisting of: risk scores, payment behavior, AR exposure, company background, financial statement analysis, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, industry performance and a summary of key events

  • Effectively communicate credit findings to the responsible deal team/requestor in the Industrial business and prove a plan of action to mitigate and/or limit the credit risk

  • Navigate effectively within multiple credit tools, receivable systems and internal processes to deliver accurate and timely credit risk recommendations

  • Maintain high standards of data quality within the data sets for credit risk models and external reporting

  • Facilitate problem resolution and process optimization as it relates to risk platform interfaces and data quality

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • University degree or 4+ years equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of credit risk management and analysis

  • Proficient understanding of financial statements and trending financial data

  • GE Industrial product and industry knowledge, commercial risk management or lending experience is a plus

  • High degree of comfort working with technology, systems of record, data warehouses and reporting tools

  • Well-rounded understanding of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
