Role Summary:

The Strategic Marketing Manager will be a key leadership position in Bently Nevada’s Marketing team, being the champion for the business’ long-term strategy and critical growth initiatives. You will be responsible for the company’s strategic planning process, including the business support, during strategy execution.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will integrate and develop projects and processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within a functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. The Strategic Marketing Manager is also responsible for key marketing deliverables such as market sizing, competitive analysis and industry insights.

In the role of Strategic Marketing Manager, you will:

  • Lead development and refinement of overall Bently Nevada business vision and strategy based on market trends and competitive environment

  • Lead strategic marketing team in key activities around market intelligence, competitive intelligence, customer intelligence & data analytics, and value proposition development to support marketing, product management, and technology functions

  • Lead company’s organic investment allocation process and support the execution of big bets programs

  • Develop industry specific value propositions based on customer needs/challenges and market opportunities, and understand Bently Nevada’s entitlement per industry segment

  • Partner with Product General Managers and Region General Managers to develop strategy planning, NPI (New Product Introduction) roadmaps, and risk mitigation plans

  • Analyze, provide and present market dynamics, trends, size (TAM/SAS), opportunities and risks to the business

  • Be completely linked to the front line of the business, working closely with sales, commercial operations, product leaders and customers

  • Focus on planning and helping in execution of entry strategies for new product lines in adjacent markets

  • Provide market intelligence and crucial inputs to the product leadership for product development and platform strategies

  • Support and provide the contents relevant to the region for the Growth Strategy Plan (GSP) and annual operating plan with a sound business strategy

  • Run the marketing operations rhythm with support from Finance and Sales functions

  • Connect with the business development team and make recommendations on partnerships and potential acquisitions


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a marketing or sales position, or strategy / marketing track record in a related field

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited college or university

  • Engineering background

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills combined with boardroom presence

  • “Consulting mindset,” responsive and able to deliver under pressure

  • Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industry knowledge

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
