General Electric Manufacturing Specialist - 2nd shift in Minden, Nevada

Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Specialist - 2nd shift, will communicate with Sales, Planners, Engineering, and Management on a level necessary to allow closed-loop communication of assembly and scheduling issues.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Manufacturing Specialist - 2nd shift, you will:

  • Manufacture products through operation of various machinery and using appropriate information located in SAP (blueprints, Bills of Material (BOMs) and Mmanufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) located in MDS, based on customer specifications in support of all Production Plan and Global Project requirements

  • Assemble products using appropriate support documentation

  • Work effectively in a team enviroment Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

  • Minimum 6 months experience in assembly or warehouse position

  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work 2nd shift

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, as required

  • Exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, as required

  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, as required

  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience working in an International Standards Organization (ISO) environment

  • SAP experience

  • Demonstrated communication skills

  • Assembly experience

  • Stock experience or knowledge of stock procedures (example: First In First Out)

  • Safety-minded
