Job Description Summary
To deliver GE’s EnergyAPM – data analytics software that provides an Asset Performance Management portfolio of applications and services, for Transmission & Distribution facilities in Japan between GE and a key local partner - GE Grid Solutions is looking for a Software Project Delivery Manager (DM).
Software Project Delivery Manager (DM) work with the regional Grid Automation to deliver strategic Asset Management Software project. He/she will oversee the technical projects deliveries in Japan and will be the interface between the GE operation central team (located in Paris / Dubai) and GE channel partners in Japan.
Job Description
Software Project Delivery Manager (DM) should have the technical software skills to lead the software services delivery in the time, quality and the budget required for the project in good relationship with the customer and GE channel partner.
The main scope packages of the typical delivery of the delivery manager are:
The DM will be in charge of all the software deliveries from GE to the customer/channel partners, as agreed during the tender stage
He/she is the voice of the GE to interface with the customer for all GE software solutions
The DM should follow-up with all teams GE, the channel partner and the customer to deliver the required scope
Oversee the on-time delivery and the implementation quality of all design notes and statement of work prepared by the Software team of the project
Be guaranty of the review and the approvals of the software & Hardware delivery, architecture and implementations
Oversee the modeling of assets and grid substations work and the developed software interfaces
DM is the technical manager for of the technical execution of the APM projects on the scheduled time with the required quality and will be responsible & accountable of the project organization, planning & resources definition of each project.
DM will be supported by software engineers and other subject matter experts in the region while executing the project, but he/she will have to support technical tasks when it’s required.
DM will be required to support tendering and demonstration of APM to the customer.
Qualifications & Requirements
Master in Software engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge
5+ years experiences in Software delivery
3 to 5 years experiences in Software delivery management and/or Delivery manager management in Software or asset management projects
Fluent in Japanese and English (speaking and writing skills)
Residency in Japan
Desired Characteristics
3 to 5 years experiences in project delivery with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Utilities
+3 years experiences in maintenance process with utilities, industry, or OEM company
Proven experience with international experience of project fronting multiple customers
Knowledge of APM DM or be interested by software technologies such as:
Concepts of Asset Management and / or Asset Performance Management (APM)
Concepts of ERP, SAP, Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)…
Knowledge of Software and database interfaces (SQL and/or other), Webservices, Enterprise Transformation Language, timeseries databases
Knowledge of data exchange formats: JSON, XML, binary…
Concepts of IoT protocols and webservices: OPC UA/DA, MQTT, Kafka, REST API…
Concepts of the electrical communication protocols: IEC 101, IEC 104, DNP3, IEC61850, Modbus
Concepts with Operation Technology (OT) is a plus, such as SCADA/EMS systems
Concepts of Geographic Information System (GIS)
Knowledge of the primary assets of the grid (GIS, Transformer, Bays, Circuit Breakers) is a plus
Able to work in multi-cultural/ Multi location teams
Teamwork oriented
Able to work under matrixial organization
Communication skills
Well organized and autonomous
Able to travel when it is required to Europe & Middle East and in the regions of Japan
