General Electric Senior Sales Manager in Minato, Japan

Role Summary:

In this role, Sales Manager is responsible for, with clear vision and positive mindset, developing business opportunities for Gas Power Systems, building up actual pipelines for the business, and closing those pipelines by delivering value to customers and with support from partners and wider GE team members.

Essential Responsibilities:

Sales Manager is responsible for leading market analysis, segmentation & prioritization of market, and building commercial strategy of Japan market with both of short term and long term perspective.

・ Achieve business targets in Orders and Sales. Deliver on all internal targets such which is in align with country & region strategy and goal.

・ Communicate closely & effectively, build trust & develop strong relationship with customers, partners, and colleagues at various level.

・ Orchestrate entire business development steps from off-season activity to bid preparation, negotiation of conditions and deal closure within sales target period.

・ Identify and develop potential opportunities through proactive approach, creative ideas and mindset.

・ Actively drive various growth initiatives from planning phase to development.

・ Provide input/report to management on market trends, competitor activity, product features and functions.

・ Prepare and provide forecasts of future orders, sales and upcoming projects based on quantitative and qualitative analysis and reasonable data points.

・ Conduct product demonstration effectively at customer or trading show.

・ Create new business model and scope including financial service, maintenance and Digital solution which deliver values and advantages to customer.


・ Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales of industrial product.

・ Have clear vision for own career development, positive mindset, and strong passion for growth.

・ Experienced in creating and implementing successful sales and business development plans that clearly define opportunities, goals and objectives within a multi product sector

・ A well organized, relationship builder with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, outstanding commercial awareness and good all-round business acumen. Must display the presence and maturity to influence and win the confidence of both customers and colleagues.

・ A pro-active self-starter, with the necessary drive, determination and social skills to develop commercially advantageous customer relationships that subsequently generate profitable business

・ Business English written and spoken to communicate with internal global team, and Japanese to communicate with customers and channel partner
