Job Description Summary
Responsible for activities and processes that assist the Environmental Health and Safety organization achieve business objectives for North East Asia On-Shore Wind Service Sites. Responsible for departmental EHS operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities
Development and Implementation of the Environment, Health and Safety management plan and systems.
Ensure site compliance to applicable management systems, legislation and standards.
Develop, implement and deliver EHS program training, monitor and manage competency record control.
Drive EHS key performance indicators within the business to achieve annual targets.
Carry out workplace inspections and audits
Manage weekly regional & site EHS leadership meetings.
Investigate incidents and events and complete reporting within required timeframes.
Liaise with all operational stakeholders, customers & contractors on EHS related matters.
Maintain record keeping to company requirements. e.g. training records & other regulatory documents etc.
Coordinate emergency event response and drills.
Assist in PPE management for the team, deliver training as required.Ensure environmental compliance throughout operational activities.
To ensure that the EHS coordination of works between the different contractors includes safety matters
Coordinate with site leads on the site EHS incentive and disciplinary schemes
Coordinate & implement EHS Risk Reduction Programs.
Diploma or Engineering degree in occupational safety and health, engineering, or related technical degree
7+ years EHS experience in a professional EHS role
preferably wind business experience (added advantage)
Familiarized with Japan & Korea regulatory EHS requirements
Knowledge of EHS management systems
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
