Job Description Summary

As a Technician Apprentice you are the key point of contact for our customer. The role requires the Apprentice Technician to be dispatched on routine service preventative maintenance visits, respond to service calls and support the field team to drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

  • With minimal supervision, as assigned, perform planned maintenance (PM), safety and environmental inspections and maintain effective customer relations.

  • Follow appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessarydocumentation.

  • Maintaindaily communications with customers, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.

  • As instructed, implement GE / customer facility contract, supporting business goals and objectives. May assist more experienced technicians and FSE’s on basic and complex repairs /resolution respectively.

  • Work as a member of local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area and document all actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule.

  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment and ensure calibration. Maintain approved parts inventory.

Obligatory requirements

  • Apprentice role: only for 30 years old candidates or younger, previous contracts can be level 5 maximum (not valid 5s or 6).

  • English and Italian language skills.

  • Based in Friuli Venezia Giulia or Veneto regions.

  • A diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering Technology, or solid experience as Field Service Engineer

  • Good technical skills with a systematic and thorough approach to problem solving

  • The ability to plan and organize your work own effectively, and to work with minimal direction

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and customer service skills – you can deal with differences of opinion tactfully and effectively, and you influence rather than direct

  • Teamworking capabilities, dialogue with colleagues on the field and with other functions inside the company
