Role Summary:

The candidate will be primarily responsible for monitoring on certain focus areas of compliance. Contributes to the enforcement and improvement of GEHC’s policies and procedures covering certain focus areas of compliance. Works with various functional teams within the region. The position is reporting to the Compliance Manager IMI.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to compliance projects in order to ensure the regional organisation is complying with local regulations and SOP’s

  • Execute audits on business processes in order to test the enforcement of SOP’s adopted by all the GEHC Italian legal entities

  • Contribute to the design, roll-out and revision of local SOP’s when required

  • Support the execution of the audits required by the Surveillance Body (Organismo di Vigilanza) of the GEHC Italian entities, by different GEHC Global Functions and by GE Corporate Audit Staff

  • Monitor commercial relationships and financial transactions between GEHC and Channel and Bidding Partners (i.e. Distributors, Agents, ATI Partners, Sub-Contractors, high-risk Vendors)

  • Within the ATI deals environment monitor the preparation of the joint bid/offer, the revenues/expenses split among ATI partners and the proper execution of projects.Develop processes and tools in order to improve the related monitoring activities

  • Support the business in the selection of GEHC vendors in Italy, in their classification (direct vs indirect, QMS relevant, sub-contractors,…), in the contracting process and in monitoring high-risk transactions

  • For each deal/tender to which GEHC intends to bid together with other partners the Monitoring Compliance Specialist will monitor in an independent way the preparation of the bid/ joint offer and the allocation of the costs and activities among ATI Partners and Sub-contractors

  • Support legal, Compliance, HR and other functions in investigating potential and/or alleged breach of the Organizational and Management Model involving the appropriate Functions, providing recommendations and granting the application of the sanctions specified in the Organizational and Management Model

  • Work in close relationship with the Global Monitoring Team and Dealer Compliance Team to ensure that monitoring work is performed consistently and in a way that compliments the broader global programs Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent knowledge or work experience

  • Relevant experience with focus area or similar compliance/regulatory area

  • Demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 10% of the time (both domestic and international) as needed

  • Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving [insert specific focus area] or similar compliance issues efficiently and effectively

  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environment

  • Strong working knowledge of English language (oral and written)

  • EU Work Permit

  • Knowledge of the Italian Law Decree nr. 231/01, of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and of the U.K. Bribery Act. Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated experience in a compliance function operating within a highly regulated industry/environment

  • Previous experience with medical industry regulations (FDA, Medicare/Medicaid anti-kickback) preferred

  • Ability to function as an integral member of the GEHC global legal and compliance function

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate business issues in an easy to understand manner

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization (including our field sales force, senior leadership and our customers)

  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
