General Electric Systems Engineer II (Ground Support) in Miami, Florida
Systems Engineer II will work with the full-design life-cycle with definition, design, development, verification, validation and production release of products and technologies that will require working knowledge and skills in areas including Agile software development life-cycle, Azure/AWS Cloud infrastructure, software development languages and tools.
Actively Participate in full product life-cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, specification and design, prototyping, software integration, production release and testing
Generation of documentation, to support the design and verification of completed design including, but not limited to schematics and Wiring Diagrams, Bill of Materials, Development Test Procedures and Reports, Production Test Procedures, Component Specifications
Develop test procedures and reports, production test procedures, and component specifications
Monitor the effectiveness of software changes and releases
Develop Windows® and Linux based software for to fulfill customer needs and requirements using Java and/or C#, .NET
Create specifications and design of software and hardware testing tools to be used for engineering testing, QA, production, GTP, and manufacturing
Interface with other personnel including, but not limited to, in: hardware, production assembly and testing, quality, and communication vendors
Maintain technical knowledge of all Company products
Complete moderately complex tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision
May travel, as required, to accommodate above duties
Continual improvement of the quality management systems effectiveness
Track requirements, tests, and releases to support certification efforts
Assist the automate testing of product systems
Develop process and improvements to streamline project developments
Monitor software and systems infrastructure failure rates and performance metrics
Report current software status and release schedule to management
Focus on quality to maintain AS9100 and supplemental AS9115 standards and certifications
Participate in the corrective and preventative action plan of the company Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor of science in Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent in a technical or publishing fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience with:
Current software development languages (Java and/or C# .NET)
In the agile software design and requirements documentation
Gather, organize, and document user requests for software engineers to implement
Full software quality life-cycle maintaining certification
Familiarity with design, implementation, release, and support of software applications
Working knowledge of and ability to create and navigate through detailed technical standards/specifications and other technical documents.
Ability to work with senior software/hardware engineers in a small group.
Ability to write specifications for collaboration with outside contractors and senior engineers.
Must be self-motivated and very creative with excellent communications and writing skills.
Must be able to complete moderately complex tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision. Desired Characteristics:

Exposure to IP-based data networks including 802.11 a/b/g wireless technologies
