General Electric Lead Proposals Specialist in Mexico City, Mexico
Supporting the development of OFE Pressure Control proposals, the Bid / Proposal leader plays a key role in the ITO Process. Primarily responsible for leading the development of complex commercial proposals, and to come up with commercial offerings that can position BHGE in a leading position for competitive bids. The role also requires co-ordination of internal stakeholders, ensuring that requests and bid documents are delivered at customer requested deadline. Specific responsibilities include:
Lead cross-function teams to deliver commercial proposals for Surface Pressure Control product lines for Latin America customers;
Lead cost-out and short delivery analysis to meet market price and lead time targets;
Analyse customer’s RfQ’s and bid documentation and select, together with Engineering, the best BHGE offering for each application;
Analyse, “red-line”, and negotiate customer’s proposed contract terms and conditions, in line with BHGE policies;
Create a risk mitigation plan for complex offerings, getting all necessary internal approvals with functional leaders;
Lead pricing strategy discussions with Pricing and Sales teams;
Present proposal details to BHGE Senior Leadership if additional approvals are required;
Compile & issue proposals;
Prepare and conduct handover from ITO to OTR;
Manage & update SFDC/Deal Machine opportunity pipeline;
Manage an effective document control system ensuring documentation relating to the customer is properly registered, circulated, controlled and easily accessible to the commercial team;
Perform other duties as required to support commercial team.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering;
Effective oral & written communication skills in Spanish;
Effective oral & written communication skills in English;
Basic financial & commercial acumen (costs, pricing, margin, profitability, etc);
Basic understanding of tax implications on the sale of products and/or services;
Ability to collaborate and work in a team;
Ability to navigate in a matrix-type business environment;
Knowledge of MS-Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Minimum 4 years of experience in a commercial related (Commercial, Sales, Sourcing) role or OTR/Project Management;
Experience in negotiating and dealing with customers.
Knowledge of contractual T&C's, and ability to analyse, "red-line", and negotiate contracts w/ customers;
Working Experience in Oil & Gas Industry;
Ability to work under pressure and effectively lead team to meet deadlines;
Ability to identify and implement process improvements;
Ability to set and work to KPI’s and drive improvement;
Excellent communication skills;
Ability to be proactive and address challenges.
