General Electric Strategic Pricing Manager in Melbourne, Florida

Job Description Summary

The Pricing Leader will be one of two Pricing Leaders for the GE Digital Grid Software. The Pricing Leaders will partner to develop strategic pricing methodologies. The Pricing Leaders will collaborate with Product Management to develop differentiated pricing models specific to how our customers value our offerings, will collaborate with the Commercial team to measure pricing impacts, and dynamically adjust pricing models based upon feedback from the field.

Primary Purpose of Strategic Pricing

Strategic Pricing is responsible for developing, communicating and leading the execution of business and marketing strategy and customer profitability management through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. Serves as an effective liaison with senior executive management, marketing, product management, finance, and sales.

  • Extensive interaction with other parts of the organization on deal modeling/management and effective management of driving maximum profit on opportunities

  • Reviews and synthesizes analysis into succinct recommendation for senior management and sales organization

  • Has depth and breadth of experience in own job family; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities

  • Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations

  • Integrates knowledge of GED organization structure into solutions development

Qualifications: What is typically preferred for experience, education and/or skills for success in your function, level and role:

  • BS/BA Business Related Degree

  • 7 yrs job related experience

  • Strong finance/accounting/commercial sales skills

  • Work effectively with multiple levels

  • Activity Based Pricing Background

  • Location of Role is Flexible within the USA
