Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

GE Energy Management Services LLC seeks Software Engineer (Power Systems Software Engineer) (multiple positions) to advance Power Systems Application software development, testing, integration, and tuning of assigned function to meet corporate project/product commitments; Develop power system features for electric utilities or independent system operators (ISOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs); Responsible for programing a feature and or a small feature set; Contributes to the team and works with direction from Senior Team Members or management, beginning to work independently; Act as a member in Software Center of Excellence, representing the face of high quality design and development practices. Implement new functionalities in power system application software which includes EMS (Energy Management System) and DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator) applications; Provide maintenance of power systems application functionality; including code fixes, documentation, and user interfaces; Provide maintenance of power systems application functionality, including code fixes, documentation, and user interfaces; Collaborate with system/project engineers, frontend developers and EMS application developers to implement solutions that are aligned with product direction.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Position requires Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering with thesis or related work in power systems. The position also requires some academic or work

experience with optimal power flow; Some academic or work experience with programming in C or MATLAB; Some academic or work experience with energy renewables.
