The Welder- 2nd shift reports the the value stream leader and fabrication leaders. In this role, you will perform a variety of welding operations, including MIG / TIG / Arc welding and brazing functions, power and non-power hand tools, such as hammers, wrenches, etc.
As the Welder- 2nd shift, you will:
Layout, fabricate and operate equipment necessary for the fabrication of sheet metal welded assemblies
Understand and carry out oral instructions, read and carry out simple written instructions
Use various welding equipment using special knowledge of process of TIG and MID
Use micrometers, calibrated steel tapes, etc.
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 3 years of experience in various forms of welding
Ability and willingness to pass a welding performance evaluation and certification
Ability and willingness to stand / walk for long periods of time and lift / carry up to 40 pounds
Experience with various hand tools
Ability to read and measure using various tools, such as micrometers, scales, tape measures
Ability to identify and list production data, such as quantities, pressures, alloys
