Role Summary:

The Data Specialist will manage / monitor interactions between HIRES and WindChill applications through the SAP process. Includes maintaining HIRES tables / updates for various product lines. In this role, you will develop / use various tools to manage timely addition of BOMs (Bill of Materials) & Item masters for both the Mebane, NC & EDESA, MX plant. You will provide general standards / guidelines to insure consistent behavior of Customer Engineering BOMs within the systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Data Specialist, you will:

  • Maintain HIRES tables for Various Product Lines

  • Be responsible for management of Windchill workflows – including coordination of new materials

  • Be responsible for cross functional teamwork – including coordination of new fabrications with Requisition Engineering and fabrication planning

  • Coordinate with sourcing and finance for complete part setup

  • Be responsible for management of material data - Ongoing clean-up and maintenance of material data

  • Conduct ata analysis / query capabilities to support Manufacturing production leaders

  • Manage / monitor engineering to SAP and Windchill interface

  • Interact with Engineering, manufacturing, IT, and SAP team members to drive timely resolution of interface issues

  • Manage / monitor the SAP Z-Table

  • Develop ever evolving metrics and processes with cross functional teams to insure 24-hour clearing of open items

  • Drive BOM accuracy by the use of tools to validate ETO (engineered to order) and CTO BOMs in SAP match HIRES


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college (OR Associate's Degree in engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of technical experience)

  • Proven Experience in SAP

  • Proven ability ability in leading / participating with cross functional teams

  • Proven ability in data interpretation, analysis and reporting

  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools to include Excell, Access and Word

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Experience in HIRES Table maintenance

  • Ability to perform basic functions in WindChill

  • Knowledge in SQL and database management

  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions / understand and carry out oral instructions

  • Working experience in Requisition Engineering and/or HIRES

  • Working experience in Materials and/or assembly
