Job Description
The planner is a member of the tender / project core team:
• She / he drives the project schedules (tender phase or project execution) to maximize results, whilst helping the Project Manager to deliver the project on time, within budget, in conformity with the contract and managing the customer expectations.
• She / he has is part of the Project Controls function and is expected to manage project schedules in accordance with the established global process, tools, metrics and operating rhythms.
Role & responsibilities:
She/he is key member of the project team providing schedule status to the PM
Develops tender schedules using the established tools and processes and challenges the team to ensure schedule risk is managed with a balance of competitive offering aligned to historical performance
Develops and maintains the single project schedule representing the entire project by integrating inputs from all functions, units and third parties contributing to the project
Delivers a high-quality schedule aligned with global standards to ensure project is accurately represented
Maintains schedule thru the entire project obtaining inputs from all project contributors
Provides schedule analysis to determine project schedule risks and opportunities than works with project team members to drive risk mitigation strategies
Provides look ahead, backlog and future late reporting with prioritizations to clearly communicate potential and real risk and drive the project priorities
Provides regular status reporting with forecasting and analytics to project team members
Provides contractually required customer reporting and is able to communicate directly with customers on scheduling matters
Generates “what if” scenarios to optimize execution and works with project teams to evaluate feasibility
Aligns with cost controlling function to ensure clear alignment between cost and schedule to ensure accurate
Support change order analysis with schedule analytics and forecasts
Organize/lead timely Planning Reviews with project team, to share all schedules issues and define/validate mitigation plan
Load resources into the project schedule
Support disputes and analysis of claims
Vital for the planner to frequently and clearly communicate the project status to all project participants, especially PM. And escalate issues/risks to ensure properly addressed

Internal Schedule (with visible Critical Path) timely updated, measured and controlled
Client Schedule timely updated, measured and controlled
Schedules KPIs and Reports regularly updated
Schedules slippages and risks and opportunities pro-actively identified and reported to PD/PMs and project team.
Planning reviews organized with the defined periodicity and with reports issuance
Schedules and Schedules Reports, issued on time
Required :
Graduate Engineer (technical or generalist)
Background in Project Management
Fluent in English & French
