General Electric US Market Access, Policy & Reimbursement Lead in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

This role will have primary responsibilities for implementing market access strategies that secure and advance access to the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) portfolio across all relevant payers and channels including Commercial health plans, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DoD, RBMs and MACs. This role will require oversight of a team that maintains ongoing and fosters new relationships with PDx and GEHC customers, influencers, stakeholders, advocates, and other external organizations. The ability to identify marketplace opportunities and execute programs to achieve short- and long-term coverage, reimbursement, advocacy, and pricing objectives for existing and new products is critical to success.

The PDx business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

This role can be based in Marlborough, MA or remote.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze changes in the US market to determine the implications for the PDx organization.

  • Align regional market access needs for existing and new PDx products with global market access strategies.

  • Ensure US evidence generation needs are included in global evidence generation roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with key internal US stakeholders to ensure market access strategy alignment for implementation.

  • Ability to model various reimbursement scenarios: their opportunities and potential impact.

  • Provide strategic input with qualitative and quantitative information to support US lobbying efforts and legislative initiatives, including working closely with key industry trade associations, patient organizations and medical societies.

  • Develop, influence and monitor payer policy, coding frameworks and regulations; attend and represent business at relevant scientific, clinical, government and commercial payer policy meetings.

  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs and Product Management to deliver compliantly on product strategies and programs.

  • Serve as a strategic business partner with field sales leadership to establish priorities in regional work plan for physician education and the identification of payer coverage expansion opportunities through frequent communication and quarterly business reviews.

  • Lead a team of Managed Market Account Executives and Advocacy and develop and report team KPIs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in US Healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical sector.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-channel reimbursement rules, critical success factors and processes.

  • Ability to advise senior leaders on the impact of various coding, coverage, commercial, and government reimbursement policies.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment; involves and motivates others to work toward team goals.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and payers, good conflict management and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex issues to develop actionable and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.
