Job Description Summary
The Global Market Access Strategy Lead is responsible for all aspects of global market access strategy development, and health economic and outcomes research evidence generation across the current and evolving Pharmaceutical Diagnostic (PDx) portfolio. The Team Leader will oversee payer insights generation and synthesis, including payer value propositions and pricing strategies, to drive access across various market archetypes based on a clear understanding of the relevant stakeholders and their needs. The Team Leader will also manage all aspects of global evidence generation, including cost effectiveness analyses and the development of budget impact models and associated publications. The Lead will act as a player-coach to ensure all market access and HEOR strategy needs across the PDx portfolio are supported.
The PDx business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams for major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways. PDx products support three patients every second around the world.
This role can be based either in Marlborough, MA or remote anywhere on the East Coast of US.
Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver clear recommendations around payer strategy for optimal reimbursement, pricing, evidence generation and stakeholder value proposition development.
Generate & synthesize payer insights through continuous horizon scanning and in-depth understanding of payer regulations, reimbursement, and access needs for all payer stakeholders, e.g., HTA agencies, Managed Care and RBMs, Medicare and MACs, and all providers related to the PDx portfolio.
Develop global pharmacoeconomic analyses (and support regional adaptations) and payer value propositions to drive market access strategy through active engagement with key cross functional R&D, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Commercial partners to ensure endpoints required for access, coverage and reimbursement are available.
Support strategic price recommendations for new products and support robust lifecycle management.
Ensure that the ‘Voice of the Payer’ is included with all relevant cross-functional teams.
Team Leader must be focused on developing the groups’ market access skills and embedding market access expertise into the broader organization.
Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree (PH.D, MD or MBA) in healthcare, business or economics is preferred.
Minimum of 12 years’ experience in healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical sector sufficient to have a deep understanding of the global market access environment.
Healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers.
Knowledge and understanding of the development process.
Knowledge and understanding of pharmacoeconomics.
Strong cross-functional project management, organizational and analytical skills.
Experience supporting product launches.
Experience in radiopharmaceuticals, imaging, or diagnostics.
