General Electric Services Commercial Leader (M/F) in Madrid, Spain

Role Summary:

Support the OWN Services Sales and Commercial team to reach our target.

Expand the O&M services to non-GE’s fleets through the signature of long term O&M agreements with GE’s customers.

Lead complex contractual negotiations with customers and develop technical and commercial offerings aligned with customer’s KPIs.

Coach the ONW Renewables Services Sales team on negotiation of standard transactions and Risk Process.

Develop and implement new commercial terms for Services contracts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with GE commercial risk process (R-process) for all transactions and provide technical, profitability and commercial inputs at R-table meetings

  • Coordinate with all internal functions as necessary and insure that all organizations are represented during the sale of Service contracts to support the Renewables financial goals

  • Develop & draft contract templates for new products such as FSA’s, PowerUp, GEEAR, CM&Us, PMPs and others in close coordination with the European Services Product Line Manager, Risk, the Services Sales team & other relevant stake holders

  • Lead the continuous improvement of Proposal to market needs as fast and lean and competitive

  • Mobilize and lead multifunctional support teams to implement the transactions strategy (Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Contracts, Project Mgt. Legal, Pricing, Product Line, others)

  • Participate in Quality initiatives within ITO to drive process rigor, simplification, NPS, and other improvements in the overall ITO process. Supports achievement of team metrics related to Orders, Sales and Margin


  • Bachelor Degree in Technology, Engineering or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent knowedge or experience

  • Significant experience in Marketing, Sales, Commercial, Customer Service or equivalent experience associated with wind or with the Energy Industry

  • Significant experience with customer specification review, proposal development, contract development, and/or negotiations for equipment or service sales

  • Strong Communications skills, ability to interface with all levels of internal and customer personnel

  • Ability to travel as necessary

  • Speaks fluently English to negotiate & draft complex contracts, add’l languages such as Spanish, French or German are a plus

  • EU Work Permit

If contracted in Spain:

Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Wind Industry and / or Power Generation Experience

  • MBA Degree from an accredited institution

  • Project finance expertise for long term agreements

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously
