General Electric Account Manager – GE Digital Oil & Gas Sales (Southern Europe) in Madrid, Spain

Job Description Summary

The Account Manager – GED Oil &Gas Sales is responsible for Sales and market development supporting our GE Digital business in the Oil & Gas sector to ensure attainment of revenue and growth targets in Southern Europe; Spain, Portugal, Italy. In this Sales position, the Account Manager will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities within existing and new accounts, drive key activities, including prospecting, strategy and account planning, executive relationship development and discovery assessments. They will work closely with the other staff members in GED Oil & Gas to drive and lead growth in service, software, and value-driven revenue generation. S/he will partner closely with leaders to drive the creation and development of an overall sales readiness vision for the territory. This role will require a motivated achiever and self-starter with the desire to learn and ability to quickly adopt new product solutions, methodologies, etc.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Meet / Exceed targets for any given period (month/quarter/year).

  • Build/Maintain the territory’s required sales pipeline for given period (month/quarter/year).

  • Complete and maintain Opportunity Plans and Account Plans for opportunities and key accounts

  • within territory.

  • Research and understand the business drivers and organizational structure of target clients.

  • Maintain accuracy of all information pertaining to opportunities/contacts/clients in the SFDC CRM system.

  • Responsible for earning customer trust through value driven engagements and solid execution – establish win/win partnerships and deepen relationships.

  • Establish, cultivate and maintain customer relations at appropriate decision-maker levels. Lead the development of sales opportunities and coordinate with the business lines sales support groups.

  • Ensuring a Professional Sales Experience for customers during all aspects of sales process and touch points including: Formal meeting agendas, formal follow-up stating sequence of events and next steps in writing, and issue resolution in a timely fashion.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

  • Formulates the winning proposals with commercial operations and leadership based on a cohesive strategy that leverages industry knowledge, the customer and GE Digital products.

  • Expectation of a willingness to travel to customer locations and GE offices at a minimum of 60% of the time to fulfil duties. Should embrace travel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, engineering, technology or related discipline.

• 3+ years’ experience in software sales, management consulting, or strategic planning.

• Self-Starter with the desire to learn and ability to quickly adopt new product solutions, methodologies, etc.

• Ability to identify market trends via data analysis and makes strategic recommendations as appropriate.

• Identifies and prioritizes critical resources needed to further the sales effort, negotiating with all client and internal stakeholders.

• Languages: Fluent in Spanish. Good written and verbal command of English. Portuguese and Italian languages a plus.

Desired Characteristics

  • Asset Intensive industry knowledge a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels.

  • Proven track record of sales success, achievement and enterprise account management a plus.

  • Negotiation skills a plus.

  • Fast learner willing to learn the complete GE Digital portfolio and offerings.

  • Excellent communication and language skills.
