Job Description Summary

As the Production Supervisor, you will manage a manufacturing functional team to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. You will supervise daily shift activities, perform planning/execution tasks, and work with team members to cultivate a winning manufacturing attitude and creative work environment.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees.

  • Work with other managers throughout manufacturing to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearhead the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom line results.

  • Track and report metrics including labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity and customer complaints.

  • Establish team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards.

  • Develop and manage operational budgets.

  • Implement business unit objectives and manufacturing department goals.

  • Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in production or supply chain, or High School diploma/GED and 7+ years of experience in production or supply chain, or GE Leadership Program employee or graduate.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.

  • Kaizen and LEAN Manufacturing experience.
