Job Description Summary
The Materials Control Coordinator is responsible for tracking and maintaining site inventory accuracy. Responsibilities include running the Cycle Count program, following up on inventory and transaction discrepancies, working with suppliers on the return of defective material and establishing material flow processes within the plant.

On Site warehouse support, work closely with team members to make ERP system updates in a timely manner
Lead Cycle Count program to improve site inventory accuracy. Includes completing cycle counts of components and sub-assemblies, data entry of counts, and compiling recount list
Investigate and root cause transaction issues and inaccurate on hands
Work with Buyers and Supervisors to complete urgent count requests
Develop understanding of Material Flow process. Identify and implement process improvements
Request RMAs with vendors with clear, concise communication
Follow all RMA requests through to closure
Escalate to appropriate Team Leads RMA issues - own the process end to end
Execute Return to Vendor transactions in Oracle, ensuring accurate financial transactions
Work with Logistics and MRB cage to facilitate prompt, accurate return shipments of material
Reduce site MRB inventory levels, reserve dollars and process Urgent return requests
Maintain warehouse labeling throughout the plant
Work closely with Supervisors and PAs to ensure warehouse is up to date and aligns with the ERP system
Identify and create proper storage in the warehouse for New Part Introduction
Work with EHS Team and PAs to address ERGO issues
High school Diploma or local equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution or Supply Chain experience, or GE Leadership Program employee or graduate.
Ability to communicate well and work with others
Basic computer skills
Ability to interface with Peers, Customers and Suppliers in a business professional manner in person, on phone and through e-mail
3 or more years of proven experience in Materials Planning and Execution
Certified Black Belt
Oracle knowledge and experience preferred
Lean Manufacturing Experience, including leading AWOs
