Job Description Summary

The Sourcing Lean Leader is responsible for the adoption and execution of lean transformation of the Lifecare Solutions Supply Chain and flow of materials to LCS manufacturing sites in GE HealthCare. (1) Position will directly support BOP operations near El Paso, TX, and (1) will support Madison Ops, in Madison WI.

The role is responsible to create a sustainable lean culture within the teams that interact with the flow of information and materials for these two sites. This includes Sourcing, Supplier Management (SQA), Purchasing, and Materials at these two designated GEHC site

The Role will focus on implementing lean principles to create sustainable improvement in the flow of right parts, right quantity, right time. The goal is to positively impact results and to create a sustainable lean culture by Aligning the Organization, Developing Lean Skill in the team members, and Improving Work Systems.

Job Description

Expectations:

  • Coach and Guide the implementation of GE Healthcare Lean Business System within a LCS supply chain specific to Border Operations (TX) and Madison Operations (WI).

  • Maintain & Iterate Material Flow Map for specific site.

  • Define the daily ‘Critical Outputs’ to insure right parts, right qty, at right time in factory

  • Design and Document the Standard Work for Critical Outputs (“Critical Work”)

  • Standardize and Sustain Daily Management Systems (DMS)

  • Create DMS system that enables Leader & Team to see:if Critical Outputs are accomplished daily,If the capability is getting better or worse, winning or losing.Work Distribution across TeamNumber & Type of Escalations daily

  • Perform Time Studies to measure the work content for the std work steps (lowest repeatable time, Ave, & max)

  • Participate and Lead Supply Reviews for the site

  • Maintain Kaizen Event Funnel & Roadmap for the Site Supply Chain

  • Coach & Guide Standardized Problem Solving

  • Develop and Implement Lean Skill Competency plans team members in Supply Chain

  • Lean Principles

  • Participate and Lead Kaizen Events

  • Create and Maintain Benchmarking Tour plan 2x per year for all leaders.

  • Maintain System to leverage / utilize GE Center of Excellence and GE Leadership Development people and tools.

Experience

  • BS or BA Degree; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum 10 years in a General Management or lean/operational leadership role

  • Minimum of 5 years mastering a variety Lean and Growth-related tools such as: Hoshin Kanri / Strategy Deployment, Problem Solving, Daily Management, Standard Work, Value Stream / Process Mapping, TPS methodology, Toyota Kata.

  • Experience Leading / Improving / Transforming within Factory, New Product Development and Launch (NPI), Support Organizations, and or Sales.
